In 2012, I graduated summa cum laude from Oregon State University with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and minors in French, statistics, and actuarial science. I have been a PhD student at the University of Washington since September of that year. I am supported by fellowships from the NSF GRFP, Boeing, and the Seattle ARCS Foundation.
I have worked on four long-term research projects:
- M-R. Leung, M. Marchand, S. Stykel, M. Huynh, and J. Flores. The Effect of Localized Oil Spills on the Atlantic Loggerhead Turtle Population Dynamics. Open Journal of Ecology, 2(3):109–114. August 2012.
- M-R. Leung, V. A. Bokil, and E. T. Borer. Vector-host models of coinfection: Implications of density dependence in vectors. Under review.
Note: this paper is derived from my senior honors thesis.
- V. A. Bokil and M-R. Leung. An Analysis of the Coexistence of Three Competing Species with a Shared Pathogen. Technical Report ORST-MATH 11-02, Oregon State University. August 2011.
- M-R. Leung, D. Padilla, N. Shemer, J. Vinagera, and B. Song. A Symmetric Intraguild Predation Model for the Invasive Lionfish and Native Grouper. Technical Report MTBI-08-06M, Arizona State University. August 2011.
